Do you offer bespoke solutions?
Absolutely! At Integrated Laboratory Services (ILS), we specialise in providing bespoke fume cupboard solutions. All our fume cupboards are designed, fabricated and assembled in-house, giving you total control over the design.
What are the lead times?
Due to market conditions and the material supply chain, lead times vary throughout the year. Once the design is approved and manufacture starts, you will receive accurate lead times. We advise getting in touch early to discuss your schedule.
Where do you deliver and install?
We work across the UK, delivering and installing with our own team of fitters. Export options are also available for international orders.
Where are these manufactured?
All our fume cupboards are manufactured in our factory located in Summerbridge, North Yorkshire.

What is a fume cupboard?
A fume cupboard is laboratory equipment designed to safely capture, contain, and remove hazardous fumes. It works by drawing air from the laboratory into the enclosure, where harmful substances are contained and exhausted outside, ensuring a safe working environment.
What is the benefits of a ducted fume cupboard?
Ducted fume cupboards provide a high level of containment by directly expelling harmful fumes outside the building. This reduces exposure risk and eliminates the need for costly and routine filter replacements associated with recirculating models.
What is the design process?
Upon consultation, we discuss dimensions, services, and materials. We then issue a Solidworks drawing for your review. Once the design is approved, the manufacturing process begins.
Are there energy-efficient options available?
Yes. Some models incorporate Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems, which adjust airflow based on sash height to reduce energy consumption. We also use energy-efficient fans, LED lighting, and smart control systems.

What maintenance is recommended?
Regular maintenance involves routine inspections, airflow testing, and surface cleaning. BS EN 14175 requires this to occur every 12-14 months. We offer scheduled maintenance services to keep your equipment compliant.
